Our First week home with Samuel

Needless to say, our first week home was quite an adventure. I don't think you can ever prepare yourself for what you are about to embark on as a new parent. So many emotions, sleepless nights and uncertainty it's a wonder you survive. But we did. We are settling into our "new normal" days and nights and as each day passes the "why did we do this?" becomes more evident. This transition from NICU to home was particularly hard on me. The reality of the amount of responsibility I now have really hit me hard and I shed quite a few tears over it. It's not just Mike and I anymore and that has been hard to adjust to but overall I am settling into my new role as a mother. Mike is still looking for a job. I am so thankful that he has been at home to help me through this transition and to enjoy his new son. God was looking out for us even though we didn't know it at the time Mike lost his job. Love to you all.

Hi Mike and Tara and Samuel!! :) I've been waiting patiently for an up-date :)!! Samuel looks great!! Tara, I think he favors you more but babies change so much. Once you get your routine established things will fall into place and level out. A little one does change things (for the rest of your life!!). You all look great and I'm glad that everyone is okay. Keep us up-dated and informed!! LOVE, Carol and Steve:)

Welcome to the madness! Hang in there though...I remember I cried at least once every day the three months I was home with Madeline:) You are right though, it is a blessing that Mike is there to help. Keep up the good work. He is beatiful!

When you are traveling to a popular land, make sure you load up insect pest repellent. Bug bites might be not simply annoying. They could be also painful, and lots of places won't stock the commercial-strength resistant readily available home. When in another country, apply a liberal volume of insect pest repellent as night time techniques to ensure you have an undisturbed rest. Pro232rgram
