Samuel's First Christmas

Samuel got a bath and bottle on Christmas Eve, as well as a visit from Santa. His Lulu, Mike's Mom, helped me with his bath and got to hold him for the first time afterwards. It was a wonderful moment for all. Now that Samuel is doing better it is safe for others to hold him occasionally. Four of his 8 feedings are now bottles and there is finally light at the end of this long tunnel. We should be going home within two weeks. YEAH!!!!
Uncle Sam, #2, with Samuel #3.
Mike's dad, Grandad, with Samuel.
Great Grandpa Samuel #1, Poppy, visiting with Samuel #3.

Merry Christmas to the Youngest Mike Welsh family, and a beautiful family you make. I loved the pictures of the preceeding Samuels and also Granddad Big. I can only imagine the joy you are having with Samuel finally able to meet his family. Mike and I sure hope to meet him when we travel to Dallas the first of January. I am sure that 2009 will bring many happy times for your family as Samuel continues to grow. When is his first baseball practice scheduled? Oh, maybe you will wait until he can sit up alone! Good idea ugh Mike!
love to each of you,
Didi
