Crazy Cousins

Lu Lu's Luau

We had a luau party for Lucy's birthday. It was great fun. We grilled chicken, veggies and pineapple, had Mai Tai's and everyone dressed up in their best Hawaiian outfits.
I made Terri's famous rum cake for Lu Lu's birthday cake. YUMMY! We dresssed Lu Lu in a grass skirt, flower bra, real lei and funny hat. Isn't family grand.

Even the dogs got in the spirit of the party.

Cool Dude

All he needs is a motorcycle and leather pants.
My boys!
Mike and I bought this outfit for Samuel back when he was still in the hospital. At the time it was hard to imagine he would ever be big enough to wear it.

Designer Helmet

LuLu gave Samuel his cool bib.
Of course we decorated his helmet with baseball stuff... did you expect anything else. ;)
Mike did the decorating of course. He's better at that kind of stuff than I am. I think it turned out pretty good and Samuel is equally as impressed. haha

My First Mother's Day

Mom and Samuel
Grandma LuLu and Great Grandma Bobby with the boys
What a handsome baby Andy is.
My first Mother's Day was very nice. Mike cooked me breakfast and gave me a really beautiful card. He also gave me a book to read to Samuel called Mommy Hugs and another book called Things to do now that you're a mom. We went to Lucy's for lunch and spent it with my mom, Monica, Emily and Bobby and all the boys too, of course. It was nice to have all the Moms and kids together. In so many ways it hasn't sunk in that I'm a mom yet even though it has laready been 6 months. I look forward to many more.

Samuel's Big Day

Not only did Samuel turn 6 months old today, but he also got his helmet. It's actually called a DOC Band but I think it looks like a helmet so that's what I call it. I think he looks like a boxer and Mike thinks he looks like a Storm Trooper from Star Wars. ha ha It's not so bad I guess. I have to admit I cried all morning while he was getting it though. Oh well, I'm a Mom I can do that!! He should only have to wear it for 4-6 weeks. He doesn't mind it at all.. so far. He has to start wearing it 23 hours a day on Saturday. We'll see how that goes. We're going to decorate it with some stickers for fun. Mike says we should write "What are you staring at?" on the front. hahaha I think we'll settle on something a little bit nicer. ;)

Seriously Yummy Fingers

Samuel can't seem to get enough of putting his fingers in his mouth. As long as that is all he is putting in his mouth for now I'll be happy!

Samuel almost 6 months old

Tomorrow Samuel will be 6 months old and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. When I look at him it's hard to imagine that he started out at 3lbs and is now 16lbs. He gets his "helmet" tomorrow to help round out his head. It will be a hard day for his mama.
Sleeping on daddy's shoulder... when he was supposed to be burping.

A Dog's Life

As you can see Jackson and Raven have a "ruff" life.
This is Raven at 6am when I was up feeding Samuel. She slept through us sitting right next to her.
Raven in my newly planted flowerbed. Of course, she dug up the flowers and got them out of her way so she could sleep more restfully. aagghhhh

YUMMY FINGERS!

Look who discovered they have yummy fingers to suck on!
