March for Babies 2010

Mike and I, and our friend Kim, participated in the March of Dimes March for Babies today. It was very fulfilling to be able to give back to such a worthy cause. Being parents of a preemie made this walk even more special and rewarding. Along the walk were pictures and details about preemies, some that are now much older and some that are now in heaven. It was very emotional for us remembering the 2 months that Samuel spent in the NICU.We made shirts for the event and this is the back of my shirt. Thank you to all of you that donated! We love you all.

Welsh Easter Eggstravaganza 2010

Well.. I think another Welsh tradition may have begun...
Easter Eggstravaganza 2010 was so much fun. We had a bounce house, sandbox, play house and bubbles for the kids plus a super duper Easter egg hunt that all enjoyed.  Even though it threatened to rain a couple times, the weather was just right. It was great to have the families together and enjoy such a very special day. The boys (as I like to refer to Andy and Samuel) had a great time playing in the play house and running around. Samuel had plenty of dirt and sand in his diet that day and Andy thought the bubbles were pretty tasty.  Mariah and Siena enjoyed playing hide-and-seek in the bounce house (interesting.... I mean clever) and made some money during the Easter egg hunt. Lucky girls. Overall, it was a fabulous day and we're looking forward to next year... no rush of course. ;)
Poor Jackson. He's always at the mercy of my silly whims. ;)
Mariah in the bounce house.
Andy cooking up something tasty in the kitchen.

What a cutie!!! I just love Andy's shirt... very festive.
Girl talk in the sandbox... plotting against the boys I'm sure or maybe talking makeup and manicures.

Aunt Emily and Cousin Andy

Of course, Samuel wanted to open every egg and see what was inside before moving onto the next one. Whatever treat fell on the floor he ate... along with the grass and dirt.

Siena in her pretty Easter dress. That was Samuel's container for collecting eggs originally but he was too busy eating stuff off the ground and her first one got full so I gave her his.
I can't wait to see just how talk Mariah gets. She's only 7 and is reaching the top of the fence. WOW
Mamas and their babies
Checking out their Easter loot. Samuel's helping open the eggs.. he can't resist his curiosity.
Dear, sweet Bobby!!!  So glad she was able to come.
Time for a quick pic after the super, duper egg hunt
Fun bubbles
This was Samuel's first time playing in the sandbox. I think he thought it was pretty cool.

Sandbox fun with toys the Easter Bunny brought. What a cool person/thing that Easter Bunny is! ;)

Taking a break from the festivities with a relaxing swing

Samuel's First Easter Basket

Samuel enjoyed picking out his Easter goodies and throwing them all over the floor (of course)
Fun toys for the sandbox!
Samuel couldn't quite get the bunny ears on his head so he wore them around his neck instead. He walked around like that for quite a while. Silly bear.. I mean bunny!

Practicing for the Easter egg hunt later.
Samuel's first fort. I love this picture. It wold be a perfect picture if Mike's crotch wasn't in the way. haha

Furry Hands

My friend, Kim, got Samuel those Elmo tickle gloves that vibrate and talk when you tickle someone with them. Samuel likes to hug them because the fur is soft. He looks so sweet.
