HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

This year we decided to dress as characters from the children's book, Good Night Gorilla! The story is about a Zookeeper (Me) who walks through the zoo telling the animals Good Night. The first animal is the Gorilla (Monica) who takes the Zookeeper's keys and unlocks the cages of all the animals. The animals follow the Zookeeper home and get into bed with him and his wife (Mike). When his wife says Good Night Dear.. all the animals say Good Night too. It startles her and she takes them all back to the zoo but the Gorilla and his friend, the mouse, follow the wife back home and get into bed with her and the Zookeeper again. Samuel dressed up as an elephant and Mariah was a giraffe which are some of the animals in the book. It was a lot of fun.
Samuel trying to figure out what Mariah is dressed up as.
After Trick-Or-Treating we came back to the house and I put Samuel's Spider outfit on him that he wore last year.  He really enjoyed his spider outfit. He was so good about wearing the hat and he kept his elephant hat on too. He had fun walking up to the houses and getting candy. You could barely hear him say thank you but he would say Byeeee really loud and wave. I wasn't sure how he would do with getting candy and leaving it in his candy pail but he did great. He didn't try to eat any of it until we got home. He is such an awesome little boy.
Mike and Mariah before their 5k race at Mariah's school. It ended up getting rained out. Lucky them!
 Andy and Samuel hanging out.
Chocolate Face!

Good Times at the Pumpkin Farm

Samuel feeding a cow for the first time. We went on a hayride and got to stop and feed cows and donkeys. It was really neat.
Emily got really slobbered by the cows. YUCK!
Samuel wasn't really interested in petting the donkeys.
Getting three kids under the age of 5 to look at the camea at the same time is IMPOSSIBLE!!!
 COOL TRACTOR!
 Grandma and the grand kidddos.

 Faster Siena, faster!
What a happy boy!

Helloo everyone!

I can't believe it has almost been three months since my last post. I've been a little "busy" you could say. As most of you know, Samuel is going to be a Big Brother. I am 15 weeks pregnant (today actually) and my due date is April 11. Preventative measures are being taken to help prolong this pregnancy and keep this little one "cooking" as long as possible. Mike and I are confident that we will make it much farther than we did with Samuel and hopefully with little bedrest. What an ordeal that was last time. ;) I know it was all your thoughts and prayers that the outcome with Samuel was the best it could have been.
He is truly an amazing little boy. He's becoming a little person right before our eyes and I find myself wanting to hold on to these precious memories even more than ever. Sometimes I look at him and imagine that I will picture him exactly as he is now when he is much older and wonder where the time went. I'm sure all moms do that. What a precious gift he has been to our lives. He is independent, stubborn and demanding but also so very kind, imaginative and intelligent. Watching him try to figure out how things work and how he can get away with something is fascinating. At times, I wonder how we will possibly love another child as much as we love him but I know he/she will be their own person and we will grow to love him/her as we have Samuel. Thanks for enjoying this adventure with us.

Samuel's best buddy!
Uncle SAM! It's good to have you home.

Samuel's First Flight & Trip to SC

Headed to visit Uncle Mike and Aunt DiDi in Florence, South Carolina. Samuel enjoyed his window seat. We purchased window and isle tickets leaving the middle open. We were hoping no one would buy that seat and we got lucky because no one did. Row 42 baby! Samuel did pretty well. He finally fell asleep the last 10 minutes of the two hour flight. Little stinker!
Food and looking at pictures on our phones and camera is what got us through the flights to SC and back. Thank God Samuel finds himself interesting to look at.
Hanging out at the Ranch House.. a family friendly dance hall that has a great live band. Samuel really enjoyed it and everyone seemed to tolerate him out on the dance floor. He was really trying to line dance but kept getting frustrated.
We went to a really neat working farm that had a Corn Maze, Hayrides and other fun stuff.

Samuel's first hayride and duh Mama looks like a dork.
Meow!
When Samuel sees a horse he says "Neigh". It's so cute. He says pumpkin and Halloween really well too. We are really enjoying listening to him talk and try to pronounce words. He has such a cute voice.

Samuel cracking up on the tractor... it had a bouncy seat.
Neigh! Neigh!

Birthday Boys

Super Hugh.. turning 40 yet again.
The Welsh Birthday Hat makes another appearance.

Another Pizza Face
This picture is amazing because of the difference in shoe size between Mike and Samuel. Hopefully, Samuel's foot will stop growing at a reasonable size.. like 12 instead of 16. ;)

Outing at the Ranch 9/25

The Welsh's at an event for Rocky Top Ranch in Keller.
Yummy dinner.
What a little country boy!

Samuel's first koozie.
Samuel the eternal dog lover.

Nascar Anyone???

Mike's birthday is 10/4 and Hugh's is 10/3 so Monica and I gave them the opportunity to drive a real Nascar at Texas Motor Speedway for their b-day presents. AWESOME! 9/24/10
Hugh Suited Up!
Mike Suited Up!
Hugh about to speed off. They got 8 minutes to go around the track as many times as they could. Hugh went 154 mph and got to pass some other cars on the turns because he was going faster than everyone else. Crazy!
Mike about to take off. He went 137 mph but said it felt like he was going 220 mph.
They happy dudes after their time on the track.
